Texture Photography Wednesday: 5 Purple Peeling Paint Textures

I’ve got 2 texture sets this week because I missed the last texture photography Wednesday.  I got hung up designing a new website and I needed to run with the drive.  When the inspiration is flowing, I don’t like to turn it down.  I’m making it up this week with a double dose.

Who can’t use some peeling paint textures? You never know when you might be able to use them for a design or a simple blog post photo.

These are 300 dpi – high resolution images for your usage.  Crediting back here is encourgaged via the creative commons 3.0 licensing; however not necessary. Hope you enjoy them! I’m also up for any texture requests you might have out there. I have a huge list of different textures I have planned to shoot but I’d move a request up the list! Let me know and I’ll get on it.

I am trying to move towards much more abstract textures of paper, fabric and subtle grunge. As I said, my list is long and there is so much opportunity for creativity.  Texture photography is definitely interesting due to the focus you place on something so simple yet so detailed.

[...] 5 Purple Peeling Paint Textures – Part 1 of 2 for Texture Photography Wednesday. I missed the week before and felt guilty! These are textures shot with my Nikon D40x camera that now has a new owner.  The purple paint was peeling off some concrete block and looked pretty cool.  These textures could be used for blog posts, designs, or layers with other photos.
