Sustainable Green Wall

This is one of my photographs from a shoot where I took some head shots and then some location photographs for a great lawyer. The Boston Ivy textures from last Wednesday were shot right from that wall, down near the base though because I can’t reach too high. I absolutely adore ivy growth on architecture. The ivy has created a green wall and this actually helps with the heating/cooling of the building. I am still blown away by the actions of a major holding company owner in the city – they opted to remove all of the Boston Ivy off an old building and I don’t know why. I don’t know if they thought it would help rent the location quicker or not. Check out the building I’m mentioning here. I plan to grab a new image soon to compare the ‘damage.’

I’ll be grabbing some textures and posting them up tonight. subscribe

You are totally right about the Wright Building. I walk past it every day and didn’t realize that is what happened to it- I just knew it looked SO BAD lately. The spray paint that you can see inside doesn’t help either. I would bet they took down the Ivy so that they could attach that atrocious banner to the front of it. Don’t even get me started on those banners (they’re EVERYWHERE!)

    Anyways.

    Awesome photos.
