I believe in maniacs. I believe in type As. I believe that you’ve got to love your work so much that it is all you want to do. I believe you must betray your mistress for your work, you betray your wife for your work; I believe that she must betray you for her work. I believe that work is the one thing in the world that never betrays you, that lasts. If I were going to be a politician, if I were going to be a scientist, I would do it every day. I wouldn’t wait for Monday. I don’t believe in weekends.

I’ve been looking around for awesome photography quotes because I think they are nice additions within books and e-mails.  While looking for shorter quotes, I came across this photography quote of photographer Richard Avedon.

While I am not 45 and never drank huge amounts of vodka, I know the feeling of doing what you love and giving up alcohol.  Forget about the old question of “What get’s you out of bed in the morning?” and think about how you go to bed each night? I live for my work these days.  And work doesn’t feel like a job.  Work now feels like living and having a good time.  I also don’t believe in weekends!

Don’t wait for Monday.
