The ability to take iPhone photos using the volume up button is the most exciting part of the Apple 2011 Keynote.
Did they “steal” this idea from Camera+ that tried to integrate over a year ago? You can be crazy and think that, but it’s a natural and obvious progression at the same time.
Now I just need an iPhone 4 and the Hipoflex!

have you actually tried to hold this like a real camera? smart idea but you’ll get a black picture unless you hold it like a girl.
Hey James,
Thanks for the comment – The volume up option will not be simple for everyone as the shutter release. Even the Red Pop and iShuttr do serve a nice purpose for larger release buttons in photography.
I have tried holding it like a real camera. I normally place the lens in a different location because of the camera button now. I like to think I’m pretty good at adapting to my surroundings and to the tech. We’ll see how it really is once I can start shooting with the button.
Until then, I think girls take pretty awesome photos so it might be a bonus to hold it like a girl.
Hi… just want to ask U… I’ve got an iPhone 4 but how to use the volume up as shutter? are there any settings?
