What is Nuwomb?

Scott Webb in London OntarioAt Nuwomb, I focus on seeing the world in a new way. I challenge the mediocrity of the day to day, digital photography, and convention. In doing this, I happen to make great pictures and art. This is my place to share that art with you.

As I share my photography and art, I hope to inspire you. I hope that you start to see the world as an amazing place. You may be interested in creating work of your own and start your own gallery up.

Amazing London Ontario Photography by Scott Webb

Incubator for Passion and Ideas

Once you have somewhere to call your own – a virtual studio, or gallery – you are suddenly much more motivated to work on your art, photography, writing, or poetry. You no longer have to wait for a physical gallery to accept your submission, or for that publisher to approve a book deal. You’re living your life and people will have the ability to see you doing that. This is power. I’ve seen countless stories where the blog is what got the person noticed and got them the book deal, the gallery space, etc.

I want you to take the leap, take action, begin the process of building your online presence and moving towards your dreams. I know that everyone has something amazing to offer the world, and I want to help you get that message out much faster than you normally would on your own, learning and trying to figure out everything that goes into starting a blog.

We’re all about Renaissance Living. What’s that mean? Good Question. It’s essentially a creative lifestyle in which you’re pursuing your passions. At Nuwomb, we believe that you can have many passions and you can enjoy every one of them during your life. We are living in an interesting time and we see a strong correlation with the Renaissance of the 14th Century.

Nothing would be possible without action though.  I have taken action and intend to lead by example as best I can. I hope that other artists emerge and that I can help them.

About the Author

Scott Webb - Photography and Creator of Nuwomb.comWORD! I’m Scott, a self taught photographer and online creative in Canada. I ‘ve recently started to push into online entrepreneurship because I desire to be paid to do what I love in life.  I will show you that it is possible to wake up and get to work on whatever you feel like doing that day.

I’m currently considered a fiancée, and our Wedding is set for September 18, 2010.  I am committed to pursuing my passions in my life. I manipulate photographs, adore WordPress Designs, and love finding ways to connect with people that want to make a difference.

Depression Turned to Action

I saw my doctor about 1.5 years ago and realized that depression does run in my family and everything suddenly made sense. I started taking anti-depressants and I believe it took about 7 months before we got the dosage to where it was making a difference. I started to gain interest back in photography and had the desire to start my blog. It was like I woke up out of a 5 year coma. I made the decision to take action.

I finally took action and said that I want to improve my life. I haven’t done it overnight and I havn’t done it in 279 days. I am still in the process. Nothing has changed my life more than the simple act of starting my blog and having a voice.

Why Blog on Nuwomb and Not A Static Website?

I envisioned Nuwomb as a resource for photographers, but a different type of resource.  A resource about coaching for photography, but not in the technical sense of camera settings.  Atleast my original intention was to create a type of coaching site.  The path Nuwomb has gone over the last year has been interesting.  It’s hard to think it’s been only a year.

The tangent I’ve gone on has not gone too far off track. I still try and view photography in a non technical sense. Sure there are important things to know for great photography.  I find that the technical aspects within a camera or within photography can stop a lot of people from pursing the industry through.

I hope you’re ready to subscribe to the RSS Feed or the Newsletter to see that there are ways to combat mediocrity and the direction digital photography is moving.  This goes against convention and that’s what I love.
